Adult Attention Deficit Disorder
Yes, adults can have this too.
(New 8/3/03)

Attention Deficit Disorder is something that is usually associated with children, but doctors have lately accepted the idea that this can occur in adults also.  The drugs associated with this can improve concentration.  It is not the cause of CFS, but treating it can make CFS more tolerable.

Do you often find it very difficult or even impossible to pay attention to those things you should pay attention to?  You may have the condition.

Traditionally the condition has been treated with Ritalin, but there is a new drug named Strattera that is not on schedule II.  It may be easier to get a doctor to prescribe it.

Risks Involved: Minimal.
Effectiveness: ?
Difficulty:
Doctor Needed: You will need to see a psychiatrist to get an evaluation.
Cost: Doctor's appointments and prescriptions may be expensive.
