There are plenty of resources on the web for those who want to do research into this
subject. A good place to start is the Center
for Disease Control site.
One source of information is Medline. Medline is a government maintained database
that summarizes over 8.5 million medical reports. There are several web-sites that provide
access to Medline including PubMed and MedScape. MedScape
also provides other useful articles. (You will have to join Medscape but
a membership is free.)
Medline provides summaries of reports. If you want to read the entire report you will
probably need to visit the closest medical school.
